Blake Mills and Danielle Haim - Heart of Mine (Bob Dylan cover)

Two of LA’s finest served up this breezy take for Amnesty International’s Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan. Ronnie Wood and Ringo Starr appear on Dylan’s version of this track, from 1981’s Shot of Love.

The Internet sez it’s based on Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” and is about taming one’s impulses. Which makes it so much less fun than if it were a love song. Regardless, Mr. Mills and Ms. Haim do it proud. This is a great cover. Happy Friday!
