Tim Fite is self-releasing another free EP today for Valentine’s Day. I am DLing it as I type.
Tim’s style is totally his own — he’s a little folk, a little country, a little hip hop. He’s signed to ANTI- Records but has given away a handful of free EPs and his 2006 full length, Over The Counter Culture. Grab it if you haven’t. It was one of my favorite albums of 2006.
UPDATE: I’m listening to Change of Heart for the second time straight through. IT’S AWESOME.
From his blog on MySpace:
On February 14, 2009, I will be releasing a very special album for free on my website http://www.timfite.com. It is called Change of Heart, and I hope that you will take a few minutes to download it.
It is a bit different from my other recordings, because it doesn’t have anything to do with the outside world. I made Change of Heart while working on Fair Ain’t Fair and sorting through the wide array of emotions that result from a broken heart. For this reason, I ask that you handle these songs with care, as they are very fragile.
I will also be packing my bags and going going going on a heart-stopping, non-stopping 10 city headline tour starting next week with special guest friends Benjy Ferree and DeLeon. Dates are below and more informations and ticket links are in the shows section.
Time again,
Tim
