Dead Man’s Bones combine doo-wop piano, a halting rhythm, wavering vocals and a hand-clapping childrens chorus into one of the funnest, spookiest tunes you’ll hear this year. Word is that this band formed after frontmen Ryan Gosling (yep, that Ryan Gosling) and Zach Shields discovered a mutual fascination with ghosts, zombies, cemeteries and other eerie stuff. They began writing a “theatrical monster ghost love story for the stage” and decided to learn a few instruments to make the requisite soundtrack. The amateur feel makes this track fun and spontaneous. And no one can argue with a Halloween sing-along. Z-O-M-B-I-E!
