Should I buy the Sunday Ticket?
As you may know, I’m a Pittsburgher, and thus a HUGE Steeler fan, living in exile. Network cable doesn’t broadcast every Steeler game in the NYC market, and I don’t always want to spend my Sunday afternoon/evening in a dingy sports bar. The DirecTV Sunday Ticket is $300 + the cost of basic cable (I think ~$30-50/month) + the cost of a TV, cuz I don’t own one. Should I do it this season?
UPDATE: This just in. My brilliant girlfriend suggested a brilliant alternate solution. I’m going to take my Slingbox to Pittsburgh and attach it to my sister’s cable box!! All the Steeler games are broadcast in Pittsburgh, and she and her husband of course watch every one (when they’re not at Heinz Field). GENIUS!
