Wye Oak - Civilian
I didn’t think I liked Wye Oak and didn’t understand the boundless enthusiasm people have for this band. In the last week, this song has come on several times as I listen through all the best of the year lists, and every time I stop and ask ‘What IS this?’ I can admit when I’m wrong. Maybe I was wrong about Wye Oak. I still haven’t sought out the whole album, but this track is solid. It may even be one of my favorites of the year.
