Florence and the Machine - Dog Days Are Over
Florence and the Machine’s long awaited debut LP is out today in the UK. There’s no sign of a US release on the horizon, but the new tracks are quickly rising on the Hype Machine charts, so at least we get a sneak peak. My favorite comments on the album so far are from The Mahogony Blog:
Her voice is refreshing and unlike her rivals like Little Boots and La Roux – we’re not battling to hear her voice through a barrage of heavy electro-pop sounds.
Let’s put it this way;
- Little Boots, Lady Gaga, La Roux are a cup of PG Tips with three sugars, two sweeteners and far too much milk.
- Florence on the other hand is a clear cup of Darjeeling with a wedge of lemon.
If you haven’t already, grab the EP A Lot of Love. A Lot of Blood. on eMusic.
